Arsenal sign EPL-winning rival Arteta on track until 2027

BBC reported on Sunday that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has renewed his three-year contract with the club. Arteta, whose contract was scheduled to expire at the end of this season, will lead Arsenal until 2027.

"I'm very proud and excited, and I'm looking forward to what's coming," Arteta said. "I'm very lucky to work with good people every day and realize our ambitions," he added. "I feel supported."

In December 2019, Arteta, who was then a coach for Pep Guardiola in Manchester City, was appointed to Arsenal to replace Unai Emery. He won the FA Cup at the end of the 2019-2020 season, lifting his first major trophy as a manager.

Under Arteta, Arsenal have emerged as a strong team again. They ranked second after Manchester City in the English Premier League for the last two consecutive seasons. The 42-year-old Spaniard is aiming at winning the Spanish league for the first time since the 2003-2004 season.

"Michel is a dynamic and passionate manager who constantly strives to play outstanding football," Arsenal co-chairman Josh Cronke said. Eduardo, the sports director, praised Arteta's contract as "provides a clear direction for the club as we set our sights at a new height."

Arsenal, who have played three games this season, are currently in fourth place after winning their first two games against Wolverhampton and Aston Villa before drawing with Brighton.  동행복권파워볼

Arteta, who played as a midfielder as a player, played 150 games for Arsenal and also captained the team.
